Pandemic Availability Survey

To gather information on challenges state employees may face as H1N1 continues to spread throughout Minnesota. You, as our employee, are key to the State of Minnesota being successful in maintaining the priority services to the citizens of Minnesota. The information will provide agency pandemic planners to identify challenges in their current planning and work to develop strategies to help support the needs of the employees, if possible, and develop contingency plans to continue agency priority services.

No.  Employees are strongly encouraged to complete this survey so pandemic planners have the data they need to develop strategies to continue priority government services.

Employees will not be disciplined for not responding to the survey. However, not receiving information from employees may affect emergency planners’ ability to identify staffing shortages and create realistic plans for providing priority services.

The pandemic availability information we are requesting will only be used for emergency and pandemic continuity planning purposes and viewed by those involved with that activity.

In times of high absenteeism state agencies must quickly find and deploy appropriate personnel to ensure that priority services are provided. Knowing which employees are unlikely to be able to come to work due to factors related to the spread of H1N1 will allow pandemic planners to develop alternate strategies for your agency’s workforce.
